There is a list of side activities for Grand Theft Auto VI, and it has a precise source: the gameplay presentation held at Rockstar Games' offices on 27 and 28 August 2026, relayed by the specialist press in attendance, notably RockstarMag. It is not a studio release, and this page says so at every line.

This page used to be far more generous. It announced cage MMA fights, mini-golf, pool, jet-skiing and confirmed hunting, citing five aggregators as sources. None of those appear in what was actually described. They have been removed, and the detail is below.

Which sports activities are confirmed?

Boxing, organised in rounds of rising difficulty. It is a regulated combat sport, not an underground circuit: the distinction matters, because this page previously announced cage fights that were never described.

Basketball, playable on courts or on home hoops, which implies two scales of activity, one public and one at home.

Weight training, which ties into the physical condition system: according to the same reports, the characters' bodies change with diet and exercise, and a fitness app on the phone says when to train.

Scuba diving and canoeing and kayaking, two activities that use the coastal setting of the state of Leonida.

Target shooting, in the form of a timed course. It is the only official mention of a weapon being used outside a mission.

Parachute jumps from tall structures.

Which races are described?

Three formats, and these are the only numbers on this page. They concern participant counts, not quantities of content.

  • Circuit races: sixteen participants, two laps.

  • Off-road races: twelve participants, on bikes and quads.
  • Night street races: six participants.

Rockstar Games has published neither the number of tracks, nor a list of them, nor the vehicles available for each format.

Is fishing in the game?

Yes, and with one particularity: it is playable solo or as a couple. That fits the rest of what the presentation describes of the Jason and Lucia pairing, whose relationship is maintained through shared activities.

The zoo works on the same principle: it can be visited, and the two protagonists can go there on a date, which improves their relationship.

Which leisure and nightlife activities?

Nightclubs and lap dances, the latter available for both protagonists, which is presented as a change from previous entries.

Television and sunbathing, two activities that earn nothing and exist for pacing.

The Trunk Challenge, the most unusual on the list: dangerous driving with a passenger streaming it live. It is as much a social dare as a driving activity, and it has no equivalent in previous entries.

Do robberies count as side activities?

Partly. The presentation describes heists playable solo or as a pair, running from convenience stores and gas stations up to banks. They are not all scripted: some are opportunistic.

Two points are worth keeping. Some businesses refuse the robbery and fight back, which makes it a risky activity rather than a guaranteed income. And some story missions stay locked until the player has gathered enough money, which gives small jobs a role in progression.

What this page used to claim, wrongly

Five items have been removed, because they appear in no first-hand source.

Cage MMA fights. What was described is boxing in rounds. Turning that into an underground circuit came from reading images.

Mini-golf. Attributed to Cal Hampton on a tropical course, with no verifiable source.

Pool, jet-skiing and water-skiing. Three activities that are plausible in a Florida setting, and three nobody announced.

Hunting. That is the most important removal, because the claim was categorical: "hunting is confirmed, notably in the wild areas of Grassrivers". Rockstar Games has announced no hunting activity, and the list described at the presentation contains none. Our pages on GTA 6 animals and on weapons already said the opposite of this page: the contradiction is now resolved the right way.

What Rockstar Games has not published

The studio has released no official list of activities, no count, and no indication of what each one earns. We do not know which unlock, which are available from the start, or whether any are restricted to one of the two protagonists.

The list above is therefore what was shown to journalists at a demonstration, not the game's inventory. It will be completed on 19 November 2026, with what has been observed.
