Yes, GTA 6 has fast travel. Two systems cross Leonida without driving: bus stops and the RideMe app. In both cases the player chooses whether to ride along or skip ahead and arrive directly.

Bus stops
Bus stops scattered across the state work as fast-travel points. You wait for the bus, then decide: stay aboard and watch Leonida go past, or skip straight to the destination.
It is a noticeably different approach from GTA V's taxi, where the sped-up ride was mostly a shortcut. Here the played journey is offered as an option in its own right, in the spirit of what Rockstar did with the train in Red Dead Redemption II.
RideMe, Leonida's ride-hailing app
RideMe is a phone app in the spirit of Uber or Lyft. You call a driver who comes to you, and the same choice appears: ride along or skip.
Unlike the bus, RideMe starts from wherever you are, which makes it the more flexible of the two, at the cost of a fare. The full app rundown is in our guide to the phone in GTA 6.
Getting around without opening the map
A shortcut system lets you select a point of interest in the world directly, without going through the map. On PlayStation 5, the map can also be opened with the controller's touchpad.
This fits a deliberately restrained interface: by default the minimap and money only appear briefly. A permanent classic minimap, or a compass, can still be switched on.
What Rockstar has not specified
- The cost of a RideMe fare.
- How densely bus stops are spread across the map.
- Whether fast travel is available from the start or unlocks later.
- Whether other transport (train, plane, ferry) can be used for fast travel.
