Short answer: no. Rockstar Games has announced no PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI. No date, no release window, not even a sentence saying one is planned. The game is out on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and that is the whole of what has been communicated.
Any PC date you read elsewhere is a fan estimate or an extrapolation from previous games. We do not publish one.
The confirmed platforms
Rockstar Games has said three things, and only three:
- Grand Theft Auto VI is out on 19 November 2026.
- On PlayStation 5.
- On Xbox Series X|S.
There is no fourth line. The pre-orders that opened on 25 June 2026 cover those two platforms only, on the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store and at retail. No PC storefront lists the game: not Steam, not the Epic Games Store, not the Rockstar Store.
What Rockstar Games has not said
This is the part most articles skip. Rockstar Games has not said:
- that a PC version exists;
- that a PC version is in development;
- that a PC version will ever ship.
It has not said the opposite either. It has said nothing at all. Silence is not a confirmation in either direction.
The history of Rockstar's PC ports
What follows is history, not a forecast. These dates are verifiable; what they imply for Grand Theft Auto VI is not.
| Game | Console release | PC release | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grand Theft Auto IV | 29 April 2008 | 2 December 2008 | about 7 months |
| Grand Theft Auto V | 17 September 2013 | 14 April 2015 | about 19 months |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | 26 October 2018 | 5 November 2019 | about 12 months |
Three games, three different gaps, from seven months to nineteen. There is no rule in there, only a habit: Rockstar Games ships on console first and announces PC later. For Red Dead Redemption 2 the PC announcement came a year after the console launch.
What that history honestly supports: if Rockstar Games follows its habit, a PC announcement for Grand Theft Auto VI would not arrive before late 2027. What it does not support: that one will arrive at all, or when.
System requirements
There are none. A recommended PC spec is published by the publisher when the port is announced. With no announcement, there is no spec. Every "GTA 6 PC requirements" list circulating today is invented.
How to know when it is announced
One source matters: the Rockstar Newswire. That is where Rockstar Games announced the 19 November 2026 date, the opening of pre-orders and Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. A PC version will be announced there before it appears anywhere else.
We update this page the day it happens.
In the meantime
If you play on PC and have no console, there is no workaround: the game will not run on your machine on 19 November 2026. Other pages that may help:
